How do I log in to my college email?
One way to avoid being overwhelmed and staying organized is to log in often to your SCC email to check on updates from your instructors and college staff. Please see below on how to access your SCC Gmail.
The easiest way to get to all SCC online resources is usually to start from the Shawnee College Homepage.
As a reminder, the SCC email format for students is: [First letter of your first name] + [Last name] + [Last three digits of student ID#] + @shawneecc.edu
Example:
John Seagull, ID# 234567
After clicking on to the "mySCC Account" link at the top of the Shawnee College website, you will log in using your SCC email. This will take you to the SCC account landing page. From here you can access your email by clicking the Gmail login link.
Because you've already logged in to the mySCC account with your email credentials, once you click on an email link within mySCC, you should automatically be taken to your email homepage. You should not have to log in again.
Your email can also be accessed from within mySCC. You'll see a link in the "Student Apps" card.
On the email log in screen, once you've entered your email address in, you'll be asked for your password. After entering your password, click next to log in.
You should now be logged in to your email inbox. Take a few moments to familiarize yourself with its layout.
Since your SCC email is Gmail, you can log in from any Google email log in page. Just type "Gmail" into Google search and click on the Gmail link in the search results. Or, try typing mail.google.com into your browser's address bar. This will take you directly to a Gmail log in page.
