Retention Alert Overview for Advisors

To access Retention Alert, log in to your mySCC and click on Staff Self Service.

On Self Service, look for Retention Alert under Daily Work on the main menu on the left. Open this menu and click on Work Cases.

Your Cases screen shows you all your current cases. To begin working on a case, click on View Details to the right of the student's name.

On the case detail page, you'll see the student's information and a case history with all the actions taken on the case, arranged chronologically with the most recent action at the top.

Once you've reviewed the current actions on the case, if you need to make an update, go to the bottom of the page and pick a new action from the menu.

If, for example, you need to send an email about this case to the student, click Send an Email. You'll see a list of people you can email about the case, including the student and any other staff working on the case.

On the left, select the boxes next to the people you want to include in the email.

On the right, select Email Actions for each of the recipients. These actions can include, "send to," "copy to," and "blind copy to."

Now you can click Compose Email to open the email window. This window will show your recipients. Just fill in a Subject and your Email Text and then click Send.
